In essence the National Safety Code program is primarily focused on commercial equipment and public safety, whereas an Occupational Health and Safety Program is focused on Worker Health and Safety.

Information that relates to on-duty time and driving time is part of the National Safety Code.  In BC, information is available from the CVSE website.  Here, drivers can determine how many on-duty hours they can have before they must be off-duty.

No. The SafetyDriven – TSCBC is not responsible for enforcing the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation or National Safety Code. We are a Certifying Partner for the Transportation and Warehousing sector’s Certificate of Recognition (COR).  Our main purpose is education, guidance and assessment of companies on their way to a Certificate of Recognition. The services we offer are confidential and remain between the company and SafetyDriven.
