Rick Viventi, Director of Safety for Arrow Transportation, returns as new Chairman of the Board.

The Trucking Safety Council of BC, a not-for-profit organization that works with management, employees and owner/operators in the B.C. trucking industry to strengthen safety performance and reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities, is pleased to announce the election of its new Board of Directors and the appointment of Rick Viventi as Chairman of the Board. The 2011 Board was elected at the Trucking Safety Council of BC’s Annual General Meeting and Management Safety Conference.
Viventi is Director of Safety at Arrow Transportation Systems. Under Viventi’s directorship, Arrow has established a firm commitment to workplace health and safety with facilities and over-the-road safety records among the best in the industry.
With funding assistance from WorkSafeBC, the Trucking Safety Council of BC was created to address the high personal and economic costs of work-related injury and death in the trucking industry. The TSCBC is the WorkSafeBC approved Certifying Partner for the trucking industry Certificate of Recognition (COR) program.
The TSCBC is governed by a Board of Directors representing all aspects of the trucking industry. These members include employers, safety representatives, industry union members, local police and representatives from government agencies such as ICBC and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. The Board of Directors are committed to the TSCBC mandate of reducing the number and severity of workplace injuries and fatalities in the trucking industry in B.C.
